About the Experience:
The MEP Run Retreat was conceived and designed to explore ourselves through movement and stillness, through our inner perception and outer connection. Through breathwork, meditation, movement and running, we’ll use our bodies to release, grow and connect to our Selves and one another. It will be deeply intimate, sharing meals, long runs and practices of inner exploration through breathing and emotional journeys, alongside the outer exploration of the desert trails in and around Joshua Tree. We recommend coming with an open mind, no expectations and some fitness in your legs. We’ll be running between 8 and 15 miles per day, at a slow non-drop pace, with lots of opportunity to catch up, fuel, and run together.
You’ll receive a trail running kit from On and be fueled by Cadence.
Your Host: Ryan Willms
MEP (Mindful Endurance Program) was started by Ryan Willms, as a way to bring spirituality and sport together. While diving deep into emotional work of his own, the parallel development of physical endurance not only supported this growth but the two complemented and helped each other, and so Ryan has begun developing a series of workshops and experiences where we can use the medium of movement practice to connect more deeply to ourSelf and others.
